“That’s it! Sorry, folks, but ya gotta go now!” I start pickin’ up empty beer bottles and paper plates and start throwin’ them away. I hear Sadie laugh as I walk back to the trash bucket but when I turn around it’s Shiloh standin’ in front of me.

“A little celebrating of your own?” She smiles, all knowing. I wink at her and walk around gettin’ more trash to throw away. “Why didn’t you just say so? We all understand how hard it is to get some alone time.” She winks at me and I stop, watchin’ her walk over and put her arm through Colby’s. “Come on, honey. Time to give the lovebirds some privacy.” She looks over at Prie and winks. I bow my head and chuckle when Prie walks over to Trevor, grabs his hand, and starts leading him towards the yard.

“Night, Sadie and Memphis!” yells Shiloh.

“Have fun you two!” shouts Trevor.

Sadie walks over and puts her arm around my waist, smilin’.

“Don’t worry about coming into the shop tomorrow!” Tina yells and then starts gigglin’.

Colby and Prie shout their goodbyes and wave and Sadie and I watch them all head up and around the house.

Quiet. Only the sounds of the leaves blowin’ in the breeze and the radio playin’ a slow country song in my truck. I turn to my love, take her hand in mine and start movin’ to the beat. “Alone at last,” I whisper. She lays her head on my shoulder, her fingers threadin’ through one of my belt loops, tuggin’ me closer. “I waited for you all my life but didn’t know who you were, and then you came to me by train,” I whisper, layin’ my head against hers. “You taught me how to survive, how to care about someone other than myself. You taught me how to love.” Liftin’ my head, I look down as she looks up at me, tears in her eyes. Gently, I kiss her forehead. I stop movin’, lean down and kiss her lips, then it all becomes frantic, neither of us able to keep our hands off each other. I deepen the kiss and start undressin’ her, right there under the canopy in our yard. She’s a vision standin’ there in her bra and panties. It feels right yet a little dangerous, not that far from our house. We could be caught at any moment but we don’t care.

I let out a moan as I feel her hands on my belt, pullin’ it open and then the button to my pants. She slides the zipper down eagerly, the anticipation overwhelmin’ me. I look down as she pushes down my pants. She cocks an eyebrow up at me when she notices I’m commando. Some things never change. I’m about to grab her arms when she frees my hardened cock and drops to her knees. All this time, she’s never been this bold. I think I just fell in love with her all over again. I grab her hair as she takes me into her mouth. The moan that escapes me mingles with the cool breeze that blows through the canopy. I’m amazed as she takes me all the way to the back of her throat, her hand cuppin’ my balls and I ‘bout come undone. Not able to take any more, I lean down and grab her arms, my mouth coverin’ hers as I walk her backwards. We reach the long table and I turn her around, bendin’ her over. Her breathin’ is as heavy as mine, her long hair splayed out all around her. Fuck, this has to be the hottest thing we’ve ever done. I make haste in pullin’ her panties down and I enter her quickly.

“Oh, God!” she moans, holdin’ onto the side of the table.

With her beautiful body laid out before me, my cock buried deep inside her, the country song playin’ and bein’ out on our land in the night air, spurs me on like never before. I become wild, uninhibited, and start thrustin’ in and out of her like a man in the desert without water. I become frustrated, not able to get inside as deeply as I’d like to. I grab her waist, pickin’ her up, and carry her over to the nearest chair. I sit down and as she slides down my length, her head tilts back. The most guttural moan leaves her luscious mouth. Never have I been this deep inside her before. She raises her head and looks down at me, her eyes half-masted, full of desire. Burning. She becomes as wild as me and starts ridin’ me, both of us moanin’ in unison.

“God, you feel so good. So deep,” she moans.

I feel the intense buildup hittin’ me hard and fast as she moves quicker, harder. She moans my name and collapses on me as my release hits. Her body shakes as mine shudders in our country bliss. I rub her back and feel a change in the breeze, becomin’ more forceful. We both look out when thunder booms and soon we hear raindrops on the canopy. She looks at me and smiles and I give her a kiss, smilin’ back at her. I help her up and we run around puttin’ our clothes back on. I jog over to my truck, turn it off and shut the door in time to grab her hand. We run out from beneath the canopy just as the thunder roars and lightenin’ strikes, lightin’ up our way to the house. The rain soaks us as we run faster. I look behind me and see her laughin’, my heart swellin’ with how amazin’ she is, and I know this is a moment neither of us will ever forget.

Our lives couldn’t be fuller, more complete. Even though we’ll never forget those we’ve lost, especially our sweet little angel who’s buried next to Ma, Pa, and Mable on our land, we’ll always be blessed and grateful for what we have. As Pa used to tell me, sittin’ under the big oak tree, ‘Life goes on, whether you go with it or not, it’s up to you. All we can do is take care of our lands and those we love, live life to the fullest, and count our blessin’s.’ Back then I didn’t realize just how smart Pa was but now I know he was one of the wisest men I’ve ever known.

Always believe in the beauty of the lands.
